It began as a dream…

The Green Addition is a glimpse into our family, a collection of things that we love and that inspire us. This dream was birthed long ago during a moment of absolute inspiration. The journey to get here has taken years, many moves and even a short lived opening. After planning, designing, and experimenting, along with walking through a long season of transition, there are no more excuses. So, in the words of Peter Pan, “here we go!”

We love finding moments of beauty in our surroundings and experiences and hope to encourage you to find the same. It might be found while sharing a cup of coffee in matching seasonal mugs (our personal favorite - don’t judge), viewing a majestic waterfall, sharing a meal around the dinner table, or experienced through the eyes of a growing child. Beauty is inspiring and our desire is to help you connect to those moments. When we are aware of these moments of beauty, we see God at work in our midst. Our desire is for you to be encouraged as you explore our collection. Each item that you find will have a story and we pray that it adds to your life. As you see these items in your home, we hope that you are continually strengthened and reminded to look for beauty.

Our story is still being written, and thankfully, the pages are quite full at the present. After a long journey that brought us full circle, holding more stories than we have time to tell, along with adding a new baby, we are finally finding our new normal. We are still walking this journey of life together, married twenty years and closer than ever, back in the city where it all began. We stay very busy raising our five children and pastoring our church in our little corner of Texas.

We hope that your experience at The Green Addition is one that adds to your life. Keep checking back as we continue to build this collection to best reflect the vision in our hearts.

Opposites really do attract.

Hey! Eric Green here. Over the years, I have discovered a love for the outdoors that this city boy didn’t know existed. I love working outside and miss having my chickens and the fresh eggs that they provided! You might know me as a people person and I like to think that I have never met a stranger. I might not remember your name, but I won’t forget a face! I have been to every major city in the country during my years on the road as a full time musician along with working in production management. I am a creative when it comes to my love for music, movies and art, yet, I am a very practical person and crave structure. Woodworking and building are passions that I have discovered in recent years. As I get older, I am surprisingly enjoying quiet downtime more and more. Maybe this is why I love building so much? I continue to play drums with local churches and ministries around town while also serving as Lead Pastor of our church. After an extended break, I’m glad to be getting back to making beautiful things.

One more thing, I’m not much of a reader, but I read everything Amanda writes! **shameless plug**

Hello! I am the juggler, keeper, preference manager, and personal chef here in the Green family. I love being creative and approach most situations like a game of Tetris. I am always trying to solve a problem. The woman with multiple tabs open on her web browser is an accurate description of my brain - always processing something. My professional background has mostly been in administration which I use A LOT now in my current day job as a homeschooling work-at-home mama. In my free time (LOL) I really enjoy reading (historical fiction is probably my favorite) and I love to get lost in a book. Cooking and baking both bring me joy while at the same time a bit of a headache due to the developed palate I’ve fostered in my children, HA! I have always loved writing as a creative expression while simultaneously struggling with finding or making the time to write. In this full season of life, I am embracing the motto DO IT SCARED. Now is as good a time as any to put my thoughts together and share our journey. The story is uniquely ours, but we might share some chapters in common along the way. Years ago, God put a big dream in our hearts that we couldn’t realize on our own. The Green Addition is part of that dream and to see it come to life is a gift. Life caused us to take a pause for a bit, but during that time, much was added to our lives. This pause has allowed for growth, fresh ideas, and new perspectives that I am excited to share - one story at a time.
